This is the weekend when residents of my home town will line Cherry Lane to cheer on the annual parade. Cub scouts and boy scouts, little league baseball teams, just about anyone they can find. Along the route, there are a few places where everyone pauses–not to let latecomers catch up, but so that adults and kids can remember those who have made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we experience today.
Tomorrow at yChurch, we do the same. Via Communion and a Bible book that’s filled with the command to remember, Deuteronomy, we’ll pause. Amidst the holiday festivities, we hope you take time for church, to remember the Lord’s goodness and power on your behalf. We’ll be in the Fishers YMCA with hot coffee and a warm welcome waiting, 9:30 a.m.
