With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calling for us to begin practicing social distancing in order to reduce exposure of higher-risk individuals to the COVID-19 virus, we have shifted to an online Sunday morning presence for now. We will continue to monitor and honor CDC, state, and local guidelines, and will resume Sunday morning worship at the Y when it is deemed prudent.
Our methods are changing, but our mission is as important as ever. Join us right here 9:30 this Sunday, and we’ll have an online worship experience featuring moving worship songs and a timely word from God’s Word. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. It’s a privilege to be your pastor.
Text, call, or message me when you feel the need.
If you don’t have my cell, message me & I’ll get it to you. If you call and don’t reach me live, leave a message & I will return your call. Keep in touch with one another as well. Something as simple as a phone call has taken on new power to demonstrate that you love and care for the person you call.
Our leaders are considering a variety of options for how we can stay connected and on mission with the Lord. You can expect to see updates on the yChurch Facebook page as these roll out. If you don’t yet follow that page, please do so, so that you’re fully in the loop.
In my own family we have paused in the midst of conversations recently to pray. We can pray for peace, and the Lord will graciously grant it. We can pray for wisdom for our leaders, and the Lord can give it. We can pray for ways to grow closer to one another during a season of social distancing, and the Lord will lead us. And as always, we can ask the Lord to bless us and make us a blessing—and he will do so.
